You know Jeff, I have the same question. Then again, I posed the same valuation question a year and a half ago, turned a blind eye to the answer and bought Dell.

All I can say now is "Thank you Mr. Dell."

Jeff,

Yes, you are probably correct. A lot of good news is built into DELLs current market cap. And it may be difficult to sustain. But, please remember the last sequence of bad news for DELL...

a) CPQ/HWP/IBM are moving to direct marketing model and will seriously hurt DELLs market share. (T/F)
b) Turmoil in Asian economies will be disastrous for high tech. (T/F)
c) Devaluation of Asian currencies will have serious negative impact on DELL's Asian sales (T/F)
d) CPQ's sub-$1000 market initiative will stop DELL dead in its tracks. (T/F)

And I have to agree that perhaps DELL's growth may slow for a while... Climbing Everest, one does rest now and then. But be very sure you are long in DELL when the Chinese production facility comes on line... Be VERY sure. Even in this country we are very, very far from market saturation. Europe is far behind us in that respect. DELL's market is virtually untapped.

DELLish, 3.
