Jim...as much a I don't like it, the trend seems to be down and I don't think it's ready to stop or turn around yet...unless we get damage control from headquarters, which seems unlikely. I had intended to buy another 500 @ 32, but I'll wait for 30, which I hope never happens. The optimum for me, of course, is to see it go directly to 40 and I won't have buy more shares. I'm very bullish long-term and don't intend to sell, but try to be realistic and conservative to help balance the thread. Stephen, prepared for the worst and hoping for the best.

I don't know if he is but I am. Initiated a large (for me) position in CPQ two days prior to DEC acquisition announcement. I was not thrilled to hear about the deal but have since become convinced that this company is going to prove very interesting going forward. I'll bet IBM is the competition, CPQ knows it, and is determined to replace them as the #1 computer company in the world. The analysts and the money managers who are avoiding this stock (SB downgrade yesterday, a joke) are showing an unbelievable short sightedness (IMO). It's way too early to get depressed. This will turn around probably as CPQ execs explain the deal and how the new company will work. Dell isn't the main competitor any more. I do wish I owned some Dell though. Congrats to those on here who do!
