"I hope that somebody will fire that analyst at SB"
every time the stocks got beaten up because those analyst,
I have made money, especially prior to Jan 97. If I believe
in a stock like Compaq, this is the good time to buy. I have
sold most of my gain like INTEL, DELL and bought
CPQ. So analyst, go ahead and down grade. My cash is waiting.
What they know about INTEL when it was 70?

Luc,

Don't count on it. "anal-ysts" don't get fired by the SB's of this world who want them to do exactly what the bozo did to CPQ. Downgrade a stock on trumped up info, bring your truck and load on when herd mentality investors panic and start dumping. I think I tried to explain this to you before on another post if my memory serves me right. This is a sad state of affairs for investing, but it is reality, my friend. Now then, once CPQ starts moving up, this same bozo "anal-yst" or "paper pimp" (as I like to call them) will come in the parade and announce a strong buy for SB to dump the shares they loaded up earlier. Don't forget to unload CPQ at that time, IMHO.
