Dan: My apologies. For 0930March read 0930 01March98. As for wafer technology, I am glad to see that COHR is abreast what Industry needs for its nano chips. It appears that efforts are still heavily concentrated on reducing circuit distance and transistor thickness. Much higher processing speeds can actually be obtained by parallel processing. Unfortunately the Software Industry is way behind in implementation. My guess is that by the next decade the chip industry will have reached the 1/2c (c=light speed) barrier and the Software Engrs will then have the field all to themselves.
