Orbital Sciences (NASDAQ:ORBI) gets $1.11 bln contract

WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Orbital Sciences Corp has
received a $1.117 billion U.S. defense contract to provide
targeting support for the Pentagon's missile defense research
progrm, the Army said.
The big aerospace firm will provide a range of targetting
support services for the Defense Department's Ballistic Missile
Defense Organization, which is working to find ways of shooting
down ballistic missiles in flight.
The contract, which provides for one option, runs through
February of 2003, the Army said.

To Jay: There is a mention of ORBI's Storm re-entry vehicle being converted into a hyper-vel penetrating missile in the current Aviation Week, but I still think you're just kidding with the contract.
