Mike, Here is what I found on RTRO. They produce clothes that are sold as private labels in the various stores. So, when you go to a department store and buy something under their own label, you might be buying something Retrospettiva makes. This is fast becoming a way to buy clothes less expensively than going with the famous labels. The clothes are less expensive. I personally buy some of these at my local departments stores. I will have to look and see who actually makes them. They are buying fabrics from the Far East, so their costs will drop right now due to the lower import costs. Here is everything I found out about the company. Looks like they IPO'd last year. RTRO Retrospettiva Inc. DESCRIPTION: Retrospettiva is a contract apparel manufacturer that produces women's business, sport, and active wear. The company buys fabric and trim from suppliers in China, India, and the US and ships them to factories in Eastern Europe. Although Retrospettiva has its own brand names (Retrospettiva, Magellan, and Easy Concepts), all of its clothing is made under contract to customer specifications. Most of the company's business comes from producing garments under private labels for national retailers, such as Bloomingdale's, and Neiman Marcus; women's clothing stores such as Chadwick's; and large size retailers such as Periwinkle. CEO Borivoje Vukadinovic owns 60% of the company. The list of stores they supply are good. Again, cost of goods are coming down now due to asian contasion. Stores cannot afford to make their own clothes, so they always use other manufacturers for their private labels. But, they are limited to take what the manufactures already produce. It looks like Retrospettiva will make clothes to their specifications. So, this gives the stores more control over their inventories. I think this is a good concept. Hope all this helps, have a nice weekend Redhead
