I won't argue that the stock is overvalued based on standard
methods of determining value. But the values of Amazon.com compared
to a book store are:

1) I don't have to go to the bookstore
2) I can search for a topic and find out many books instead
of going to a bookstore and do manual searching
3) The company doesn't hold any books (no inventory) all they
do is act as the middle man to broker the transaction.
I am not positive about the inventory but I don't see why
they would need/want to have inventory

4) They have from what I hear 30,000 other sites pushing their
site

5) Limited overhead (no bookstores, lots of money will flow to the
bottom line once they get past the break-even point. Then the
stock will rise like there is no tommorrow. Its worth waiting for.

By the way, I work for a software company and everyday I see
boxes being delivered for people here who are buying from amazon.com.
