Don, thanks for the post. Isenberg was indeed optimistic about earnings (from SmartMoney link you provided smartmoney.com ):

I was reading Scientific American today. Half of this issue is
on oil drilling. One article predicts rise of oil prices due
to lack of reserves which have been overstated by MidEast
countries in order to increase export quota.
