I still prefer DOS! User-friendly graphical interfaces are gimmicky and annoying to me.
DOS was fast. In my opinion, the effort to make things simpler led to making the
operation of a PC slower and more complex. I never liked this point&click crap...I lose
stuff in all these damn folders all the time. The Windows environment is like a cluttered
office desk to me, while DOS is like a file cabinet -- simple and efficient.

This is one of the reasons there is a find file built into the Mac operating system. Also, one may view files as a list sorted by any type order removing the folders, etc. It is a matter of preference.

Speed is an interesting issue. It seems the storage device (hard drive) is now the current bottleneck.
