Windows has the file search as well, however it still slows me down having to look for
the stuff in the first place, considering the computer searches through the entire hard
drive. What ever happened to C:\dir/w? ;o)

Explain the C;\dir/w to 60 year old women and or men in your employ who never used a computer in their life;0)

As for the speed issue. I meant more along the lines of booting up the computer (I
thought MSFT was working on an "instant-on" feature which is supposedly going to be
part of Windows 98?), and opening up programs, etc. But then I suppose that is a
handicap of a slower processor...my computer has become rather outdated over the last 3
years. I was considering an upgrade to a workstation next. These consumer model lines
become outdated far too quickly (part of Intel's grand plan, no doubt).

I have no idea what MSFT is doing. However, I never shut my computer down so it is always booted. It "sleeps" of course.
