Mike, am enjoying the hunt and the research here... and I suspect we will soon see more.. Important is an understatement... for Cien, for APAT..
Part of LU's move lately though was their association with those dramatic, breakthrough tests at Univ of Texas...in which conventional optics and steppers, and DPMI photomasks were used to get line widths down to .08 micron (!!) This was recently thought impossible without going to X-Ray, Electron beam lithography, etc.. They used conventional DUV... This is a more significant development, by far, than GLW's nice little report... Pop on over to the DPMI thread to read up, if you're inclined...
