Some, about 40%, of the major customers - much more heavy percentage in Europe - REQUIRE you to be certified so you can go into their advanced purchasing system. This means that there is very little qualification work to get your circuits on the approved list and it really helps to increase business. ISO9000, which has many faults, in general has proven to be a very good thing for business in the IC industry. I know this for a fact. Cactus jack
