"Moneyline" just had a guest on, John Doerr of Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers. The discussion centered on Internet Commerce.

He mentioned that he liked AMZN, as a model, (commerce over the internet) was still in its infancy and had wide spread applications in other industries.

When Lou Dobbs asked about the "search engines", Doerr's response was that the search engines were harder business models to do something new, but when asked something to the effect of whether they had run their course, he replied "no I think they have more to go".

I don't know Mr. Doerr's background but I would speculate that he has a vested interest to not say anything but (they have more to go)!

I couldn't resist the tempation and went short @ the close to complement my AOL.
