Fredric: re: <details about the scam called "The Beardstown Ladies Investment Club">:

Great post Fredric and welcome to this forum. It's hard to believe these ladies were unaware that they were overstating their trumpeted investment results when they wrote that caveat for their book. As an attorney (specializing in Copyright/Trademark law), would you share your opinion as to whether or not the ladies could be held liable in a class action for the scam they seem to have pulled, despite the obscure caveat in their book ?

I'm sure glad I didn't get sucked into buying that book, but I'm sure it sits on the shelves of millions of people and has put the ladies in "the land of critical mass". Just shows you how many people read "warning labels". Like they say in show business, "You gotta have a gimmick".

I guess this revelation disqualifies the book from the possibility it will appear as recommended reading at the Brinker homepage :-)) Let's see if Brinker really carries on about this matter in his monologue on this weekend's radio program.
