Additional item from SHM; After reading Bruce's message it should also be mentioned that Frank also plans on installing 250 DVGs overseas in addition to the 250 in the US. Total build-out will take five years and will serve 80 percent of all the telephones in the world. Not bad for little old Franklin. Bill

<<Giora, Frank didn't elaborate on who or how many companies had evaluation units. The way he responded sounded like there were many units being evaluated. He said that it just takes time for the large corporations that they are talking to understand the technology and then make a decision to purchase. He said that the technology is just to knew and it's going to take time.>>

I wouldn't read anything between the lines. If its not announced, don't assume the number of units being evaluated is large.

This story sounds a lot like Data Race's (RACE). You might want to read that thread (it would take you forever, however). They, too, kept saying the product was being evaluated by fortune 500 companies and that it would take them time. A year later, the stock has plummeted as the sales never came.

Will FTEL be the same? Who knows? But you know what I think already. We'll know by June 30, 1998, won't we? I expect the "carrot", of course, to be continually extended in the future (kind of like the FNET offering has been going and how other product sales have gone by FTEL in the past).

VALUESPEC (waiting to see if FTEL ends up being like RACE which I cautioned them about, too.)
