Their system also appears to be much bulkier than MultiWave and just plain ugly (not that looks matter much). Tim, You are a wealth of information: 1. I don't know about WDM equipment, but switching equipment cannot be bulky because floor space is at a premium. If the same applies here, that is another plus for CIEN. 2. If you think the housing is ugly, it is likely that a telco-buyer might think so as well. After all, we all like sophisticated looking stuff. I am surprised, though, that the Pirelli stuff is ugly. The Italians are noted for their exceptional design talent. Gary Korn
