Hi folks ~ I left Westlake Village this morning at 8:00 am and just got home. Damn, that was a long walk! Lee, Bruce and those guys did a very good job of updating the board of the business that took place so I won't take the time now to add to it. I AM going to take the time and express my appreciation to the other stockholders that attended. I was honestly astonished at the caliber of people that are invested in Franklin. I don't know that I have ever met a more gracious, friendly, intelligent and professional group of people. I can only assume that the shareholders that weren't able to attend are of the same sort. Not only was it a tremendous learning experience for me, it was a whole hell of a lot of fun. Even when these guys were doing more DD, it was a riot! If you ever wonder why they call Raleigh the PHAMTOM, he was into everything. Helen would take her eyes off of him and he would get caught leaning over a desk or reading someones bulletin board or looking at their computer screens (always into something). I swear, he even looked in their refrigerator! The man impressed me. And so did Vic. He just thinks out loud and says exactly what's on his mind. You can hear the gears turning. Put the two of them in the same room and it is hilarious and stimulating at the same time. There was the episode where 'Skibare' (from YAHOO) chased down the UPS man to interrogate him on how many boxes had been shipped out and to whom. Turns out it was the poor guys first day on the job. Helen is a jewel. Very sweet, very obliging and very well informed. I think she actually feels bad when she isn't allowed to release the information that's ask of her. I was also impressed with the remainder of the staff. Paul with Malibou is sharp. Very articulate and very focused. Andrew was very thorough in explaining the setup with GTE and the rest of the equipment. I think Diane is the right person for the PR job. And on and on. We have a GREAT group of people working for us. And I really, really appreciate them and their work!!! I am very honored (honoured, eh, Martin?) to have met some of the people on this thread that I've interacted with over the net. I had an idea of how everyone would be and my preconception was blown out of the water. My expectations were exceeded in every instance. I sincerely believe that the investors that this stock has attracted, are above and beyond what any company could hope for. The two Docs from Alabama opened their suite for a party room and brought some incredible wines. I was able to taste some wines that I would have never had the opportunity to taste in my lifetime. Thank you to both River Rat and Snake. After witnessing the work that is being done on the stockholders behalf, it is with utter disdain that I approach Valuespec and Jean. Destroyers. Weak, impotent destroyers. ~ Jack
