Very astute observation! I bought the April 40 puts because I believe the whole tech sector will likely get a
haircut shortly during this preannouncement time. With short interest way down for asnd, the impetus for
sharp rallies will mostly come from news from the company versus people needing to cover. With such a
high Beta for Asnd, if other techs are correcting, Asnd will trend down. Be smart everyone! Steve D.

Stephen, while I generally share your conservatism, and can appreciate someone who has the skill to time a market "haircut", I sincerely believe that you may have purchased your puts a bit too early. According to articles posted on the news only thread, during March ASND will be formally launching thier VoIP, and soon to follow will be other news which Maverick has kept us so well informed about. Add to that if CFO Ashby is prompted again, he is likely to reveal his comfort with Q1 earnings est. as he has in the past. In fact I may eat my words but IMHO March will prove to be a better month to own asnd than even Feb. was. I will most likely hold until at least prior to Q1 earnings in mid April. Last Q we had a bit of a pullback ($2-3) after earnings. JMHO FWIW

Hi Steve,

I have a little problem with selling the stock taking the profit.
Considering last year heavy loss on the stock, I would rather let the
stock pull back and wait for the company reporting earning, which is
expected to meet expectation of $0.25 per share. I have some good feel
for the company meeting the expectation. By that time, I would expect
the stock will move a little higher than what is now. I think ASND will benefit from overall internet bandwidth expansion due to their
market position.

I also agree with you that in short term writing march 40 call may be
a good move to get some free money. But I will not take that risk
either.

Cheers,
Mike

Steven, I am eating my words. Pass the salt.
