Mohan, I agree. This economy is extraordinary. Some of the Fed governors are saying that they don't see much of a slowdown from the SE Asian crisis and estimate that it will decrease GDP growth by 0.5 to 0.75%> That's still above 3% and historically speaking, the consensus has been that non-inflationary growth is around 2.5% I believe. Not and expert either but really interested in the subject.

No, I'm expecting to see just what the article said. The congress was a little testy with Greenspan for not acting to forstall deflation.

Watch them revise the GDP. They revise everything. I wonder how they can make any decisions based on current numbers.
