Yeah, I know! Isn't he great? I love it when people like that talk dirty about what makes everything tick. So when his Bantam Book first came out, I walked miles across London to find a bookshop which had it in stock. Then carted it back to Belgium for me and my friend Gino from Peru to drool over.

Recently a friend from Belgium days [Robert Southgate] died from Motor Neurone Disease, [=Lou Gehrig's] aged 49, after only a couple of years illness. What a pain that these pea-sized minds can be so constrained by the vicissitudes of some stupid little cells. Frankly, I'm getting sick of it.

But great as Stephen might be, I still don't know just how big a pea is. Maybe somebody can explain what he means. A grapefruit, as suggested in another post, at least gives a bit of elbow room.

Yep, Stephen is some guy!

Mr. Gilder,
Because of the power of your technology writing I have a copy of Men and Marriage on my bedside stand and that must be the
definition of eclectic. Perhaps that is what you planned all along. If you have the time I was hoping you could read this post and perhaps comment on whether you see promise here or just fools gold. I thank you in advance for your time.
