Sony DVD Discman? Low price DVD player with a built-in Dolby decoder? They sound like the province of ZiVA. But why wouldn't the lowest price DVD player also have a Dolby decoder... (Maybe it's not ZiVA).

<<. Replacing it are three new players: the
DVP-S300, an entry level $499 machine, and the DVP-S500D for
$599, the company's first with a built-in Dolby Digital decoder; it
also has component video outputs.
Coming later this summer is a
five-disc CD/DVD changer, DVP-C600D, with DD decoder and
component outs; price is yet to be determined due to currency
fluctuations.

On the gee-whiz side was their first portable DVD player which
looks like a silver CD DiscMan.
[It's really beautiful! -- Ed.] Hey,
they're calling this one a DVD DiscMan! >>
