The other way to look at it is that DEC executive management created much of Digital's headaches and that what lies beneath is a treasure of marketable technology businesses. DEC has always had excellent technology. Remember too, that those businesses that the CPQ execs decide to keep from DEC will fit into CPQ's business plan. Might be a bargain without the DEC overhead. Hope so.
