>>> I have a GTC sell order of 1-3/4. If it fills, I will have recovered nearly 20%. So for me, rise of 1/4 or 1/2 is a steep ascent. <<

Jatin, your "steep ascent" remarks were clearly understood the first time. I was not confused by them nor did I intend to question them. However, looking back I can see how my reply could have been misinterpreted; and for that I offer you an apology.

What I was really reacting to was the increase in posts (both here and on the Yahoo thread) disparaging Sam Inman's stewardship when, at least IMO, it is Umang Gupta who stubbornly sabotaged Sam's strategic plan and who should bear full responsibility for much of the mess the company is in today.

As for the future of Centura, I am not as excited about the fiscal progress made by the new management to date as I was by similar progress Sam Inman made early-on during his tenure for a simple reason:

Sam not only ran a "tight fiscal ship" (as David described it), but IMO he also had a vision and a strategic plan that offered impressive long-term growth potential. And IMO the new management will have to do a whole lot more than simply show that they too can reduce costs if they intend to restore client and shareholder confidence.

>>> Regarding Del's appearance on Borland, I was just asking for your opinion of a CEO of posting on such a board in general <<<

My reply may not have been what you expected, Jatin; but it was my opinion you requested and only my opinion I gave you.

>>> If you plan to short BORL at 11 or 12, may be you should think of playing it for long and short? <<<

No way. In my opinion there is far more risk involved in waiting for BORL to see $11-12 anytime soon (longs), than there is in waiting for it to quickly return to the $7-8 range after it happens.

>>> I hope you and troops had fun camping in the snow. <<<<

Oh, it was fun and a whole lot of other things. I am certain that neither the scouts nor the adults who attended will ever forget the outing -- although probably for very different reasons !

See 'ya around...
