>>> BTW it would hurt Intuit to offer a 3 month trial program for Banks at this point.

I must be a little groggy today. It's not clear to me how Intuit
would be hurt. Maybe you could clarify for me.

TLindt,

>>> .CheckFree co-opps the cost...and put it in the financial areas about the WWW. Might work....but it would cost short term profits?

I think that you may have hit on something. A bank could establish
it own brand e.g. Bank Net and advertise that processing was performed
by Checkfree.

It seems that the addition to a banks bottom line is to far removed
due to an equity in Integrion and thus a piece of Checkfree. From
what I know the Integrion subscriber targets are a challenge to meet
on the current growth path.

Rather than cash Checkfree could offer the bank free processing
for a period of time for new accounts brought in under the promotion.
With Genesis in place, it appears that Checkfree has a little excess
processing capacity. This kicker might entice some banks to co-op
some advertising with Checkfree brand for processing.
