Personally I'd risk the 25 watts and the warranty and go for
the silencer.

I have a Silencer 235 (ATX) in my P6 mid tower case,
and the darn thing's so quiet I wonder if it's on, usually.
This is a blessing to me, as power supplies have bummed
my ears for years (and I'm sitting here with two of them,
one on each side). For me, if it conks out after 2 yrs
instead of 3, I've had my money's worth.

When I built this ATX machine a year ago (I agree, build it
yourself and understand it; I wouldn't do it any other
way again), I tried to get a PC Power and Cooling ATX case,
but at that time they didn't have much and what they had
was overpriced. Now they have good ATX offerings at
reasonable prices, a no brainer. But I'd still get the
Silencer 275 if I were doing it right now.

Regards,
