Pat, my understanding has been that SS7 is something Newbridge has always
considered to be one of their advantages - because they come from more of a telecom background. I believe that the networkers like Cisco and Ascend have a bit of catching up to do here. It's like carrying voice - they're all scrambling to figure out how the heck to do that!

I think Nortel may be even stronger in SS7, for obvious reasons...

All IMHO

Andrew

In your post: Everything You Always Wanted to Know about SS7 But Were Afraid to Ask:
Message 3561058

you found a lot of information on SS7 at Newbridge.

Here is some SS7 info (with diagrams) from the industry magazine "Telephony" March 16/98
internettelephony.com

Another one at "Telephony" February 7/98

Pat , congratulations , that was the longest post I have seen on SI
Seriously though , it contained some excellent information on the merging of ATM and legacy voice networks .
I have been an investor in Newbridge on and off since 1994 and continue to believe that it has outstanding growth potential .
It also has outstanding buyout possibilities .
