One property wonders can have good leverage - better to hedge one's bets with a few of them (one property wonders) than going for a slew of properties in the one company. The market price reflects uncertainties as well as hopes.

How would you use that chart you posted - other than indicating a trend, useful for a gold/silver spread?

Thanks for sharing the chart Nate ... it really helps to pictorially show the changes, especially over the last while. I'd love to see that 30:1 ratio but if I were a chartist I might expect the ratio to remain in the 40 to 50 band ... seems to be some support there.

I was particularly interested in summer 1996 which is when Barrick bought out Arequipa.
