I'm Still Trying to Form an Opinion... Fair enough. As you point out there is precious little formal info to 'hang your hat on' presently. I also feel that for people finding out about NETZ just now and thinking to go long, it is a good move to forget about the price action and dig up whatever info available. I have been here for months and I also had that 'naw, can't be...' feeling. With time I have come to the conclusion that NETZ is as good a BB long play as you can find. I'm taking it as read that they are legit. Most rough edges are in my book attributable to 'speed bumps', things have moved along at break neck speed for NETZ. DCLK has been around longer and has been able to start functioning as a single entity. NETZ is still growing together and we'll see more effects of this consolidation up ahead, IMO. I'm giving NETZ six months to grow together before I will start comparing them on even basis with DCLK.But, as a purely anecdotal observation, my firm is in the business of creating banner and interactive advertising and doing media placement for same. That alone makes you a valued member of this board in my eyes. Please keep me (us) posted as to your thoughts. Any facts or opinions you may have on echoMEDIA is welcome. Always good to have feedback from people inside the business. Is there, f x, any doubt in your mind that echoMEDIA is a solid company, able to carry its own weight? The profile on their website says they are... I would also like to know how they 'carry' themselves in public - budget for shows, who they talk to etc.Further, to cloud things even more, I think DoubleClick is vastly over-valued at its present levels. Agreed. But then...if they stay over valued it doesn't matter really. The market is still valuing Yahoo in the same manner. I couldn't immediately find a PE but I have a hunch it is close to 100 (80-120?). Even with PEs that are 'reasonable' (20-40) NETZ should have a multi dollar valuation. Then again total earnings could be negative so we'll see.(DoubleClick even proposed a pay-for-performance scheme that would save our clients from putting virtually any money up-front, instead paying per-transaction or per-lead fees at the back end. Which, again, is very compelling.) What reputation does Softbank Interactive Marketing (SIM) have in your opinion? They are after all NETZs interface to the market. Do they have the same 'low pain threshold' methods for getting customers into web ads?And I am content to miss its early moves and mind-boggling run-ups while the drama plays itself out. If NETZ is for real there is still plenty of time to get onboard. The financials will be a breaker for sure. I really like your command of the language. Please keep posting, it is a joy to read. :) Good luck!
