Wow, Leo. Who'd uh thunk it? You, short DELL? Are you still long CPQ?

I think you ought to get some relief Mon, but when does the split actually happen -- could be another leg up. That would be the time to short or buy puts -- BWDIK. Look at the run MSFT had. See the dip just prior to the actual split, then the U-turn back up? Maybe DELL's already gone too stratospheric for that, but these are crazy times, eh?

leo, now you understand why mike buys puts in smaller quantities over time as a way to limit losses. good luck on battling dell. i heard god is now using their web site to purchase more computers. after all, the administration of the end of the world is near ;-)

Leo, Having just moved, new stocks are all on my back burner.

I think Dell is grotesquely overpriced and have thought so for the past 200% or so. <g> I wouldn't short it, but buying puts, especially Leaps, looks like a layup. They don't do anything that can't be copied. There is no patent on their marketing style. Also, I still have the sneaking feeling that some of their numbers will jump up to bite them again as they did in 1991. MB
