In this case it is to keep the Nasdaq listing.
It hasn't hurt the price much. A reverse split usually
causes a drop in the price. Whereas normally you would
have a 2 to 1 or 3 to one split. Where the price usually
goes up!
IMO if you have a otherwise good company, a reverse split
may be a great time to pick up the stock.
