Phil,
I'm not really up on Apple. I don't know the company that well. I made a purely technical trade on the Mar. 20 calls on 2/18 when the stock broke out. I closed my position on 2/26 for a 100% profit.
Bought the contracts at 1 3/4, sold at 3 1/2.
I can't give you too much on fundamentals, but I'd say aapl is trading up on a few items: high hopes for stellar management, a good earnings report, endorsement in cash from the evil empire, and rumors.
Technically speaking, the stock has a VERY bullish chart. Trading above all the pertinent MAs...up on volume. I'd venture to say that if Apple can maintain above the 23 level, it will see 26 within two weeks, market permitting.
Technical analysis is a tool, not a solution. Apple does look good here.
Long term, your guess is as good as mine.
