Main reason being that many US fund managers (especially the mo guys) have been hesitant to get into the stock in volume due to illiquidity of SAPHY being traded on the BB.

Once the liquidity issue is resolved, the rush will be on....

PS: SAP's ADR status has less effect IMHO.

Amber,

It's my feeling that US investors are going to love this type of stock.

It is the best performing stock on the DAX, I believe, and we know how US investors respond to such stocks on the NYSE or NASDAQ. Also, SAP is fulfilling a huge unmet need in corporations.

RE: why will SAP go up when NYSE listed?

<< Why do you think this would that happen? Is it because SAP would get more exposure, or is it because SAP will be required to file with the SEC which would cause investors to be more confident, or is it because ADRs are difficult to trade, or are there other reasons? >>

Just look at me... on July 10 of last year I wanted to buy 700 shares of SAP at $79; 350 paying cash and 350 on margin. Actually did the trade, but THEN my broker discovers that foreign and BB stocks aren't marginable. We had to reverse the trade on 350 shares, and I'm out 20K in profits. If SAP becomes marginable, I'll double my position.

Re: ADR. The answer is no - existing SAPHY shares will be converted into shares of the new NYSE issue.
