Don't laugh. Last year, I think I remember a law suit directed to a couple of folks who were advocating shorting a company's stock on public BBS. I think SI was mentioned as a "type" of internet stock chat room, but I can't remember if those short selling comments were done on SI.

It does make you double-think each post before you click the submit reponse button. Who will you offend? What's fact and what's opinion?

It all makes for interesting reading, no doubt.

I've had a couple experiences of having posts monitored...
a family member of mine caught a bunch of flak from people at
her co. about posts I made on that co...this annoyed the heck out of me as I had to stop posting. Also a new online stock site asked
me to write for them-this was flattering but when I told them
what a beginner I am they weren't interested anymore.
