91,

I have no idea how SAP will set up the share price once being placed on NYSE.

For long-term investors, splits and share prices don't really matter; these issues are only of consequence to traders who look for a quick buck.

I bought 3 shares of Berkshire Heathaway (5-digit price tag per share) as a benchmark for my own performance a couple of years ago, and the percentage returns have been quite impressive. On the other hand, owning 2,000,000 shares of Bre-X or VVUS wouldn't make me feel rich.

Richard;

I don't think SAP will have a stock split anytime soon. It split--10 for 1--2 or 3 years ago at ~1600DM. It is at ~700DM common right now. I would be surprised if it did.
