TSO thats right ...I wasn't laughing with T12 I was laughing at the fact that I'm in the black here...I was? (am?) a momentum player and bought this going up last year (like cymer). I believed that this technology (semiconductor manufacturing) will be one of the faster rising sectors in the market for quite a while and got caught up in its story...so did alot of other people and pushed this up too fast.
Not having an unlimited supply of money, I had to make choices and put my money into Cymer to get me back on track...Now that this whole sector has risen I can make somemore choices like putting more money into the ones I'm even on (DPMI is one)or sell here and wait for better prices - I think we will still see more Asian pressure going forward..I hope I'm wrong and if I am I can buy at higher prices the companies with good stories...CYMI DPMI SVGI ASMLF AMAT and many more.
T12 I believe was referring to what his field or engineering has already known compared to what the market is finding out and considered new....the smart ones(investors) can take advantage in that discrepancy and have an ear on the ground for changes and profit...I like it when people laugh...just tell me what their laughing about.
As far as IBM there will be a place for all to succeed and maybe there will be a time in the future (I hope a long time) when recticles won't be on the leading edge but will be in mainstream manufacturing. Now they are still trying to implement what they discovered a while back (phase shift) into assembly production and lets see where that will lead...maybe even better results and effeciency so that DPMI can be dominate for a long time...I also felt that after these techs grow up alittle bigger that consoldation will make the market play on these companies even more interesting

Good Luck and Good Trading
