Something like an all or nothing investment strategy. When I visited the various threads, LGND of course had the advantage of having Henry Niman. While Henry is certainly a believer in the company, he always supports his opinions with facts and concrete information. But what impressed me even more (and ultimately led me to make my LGND purchases) was that during the 4,000 posts that LGND thread had then, I have not seen any arguments that effectively countered or questioned Henry's opinions (We're at 16,000 posts now and the same condition is still prevailing. If anyone can point me to posts proving the opposite, they're welcome). While the thread had an influence on your purchases and on mine, I bet we are not the exceptions and many threadsters AND lurkers have made purchases of LGND, their investment decisions having been assisted by the thread, no matter how small the thread's contribution was in the overall decision making process. So, I do believe that the thread can have effects, no matter how small, on the price of LGND, in the longer term. Regards, Alper

TORBEN: I'm in the same boat. The thread has greatly influenced my purchase of significant amounts of LGND. Henry's science has been a major part of the decision making but also his dilligence in providing info and his analysis of trading trends. The exuberance has less influence but helps when prices are down.

Thank you ,Torben. Your post reflects my feeling almost exactly! Had my run-ins with H., mostly on other threads, but do respect his research capacities. And, I've defended him from irrational attacks a number of times. Actually, I suspect that H. does not help LGND with his 'touting', as people forget that H. is not Ligand. And Henry, I do have great respect for you.in the above noted context. Keep it up! I have a son your age. pax et bonum, mch
