Dear Shane;

What a fool I am. Have never thought to check job listings on the LSI site or any other. Certainly the "help wanted" index is something Greenspan follows. That should be done on a regular basis. Notwithstanding the variety of reasons for job listings, over time the number and type of jobs might be an excellent lead indicator. I will try and keep an index once a month for the next two years, and we will see if proves to be beneficial. clearly this sort of "index" would prove very beneficial with smaller cap high tech companies. Perhaps Duane or you would have suggestions for a number of these companies to follow. I would think a couple dozen might be a representative number.

What a snoop! <gg>

Hey, LSI is showing a decrease in institutional holdings this month in the Daily Graphs. It shows funds @27% banks @10% and Mgmt @5% at the end of January, but now for the end of February funds @17% banks @8% and Mgmt @5%.

And here's something else. The 1998 earnings estimate has been lowered from 1.20
( +3%) down to 1.10 (-5%) But, they also show a 1999 estimate now, and it sez 1.45 (+32%).

Finally short interest has increased 7% while acc/dist has gone from B to A and timliness was C but is now D.
