Cymer is now in a "sucker's rally". AMAT said growth would be ZERO in 1998 for the industry. The estimated earnings for CYMI are .44 for 1998.

This stock is valued at 50 times 1998 earnings.

William O'Neill said once "Never invest in a stock with the same or lower earnings". Cymer's earnings are declining. By 2000, one of the big companies will invent a better, cheaper way to carve silicon. Someone like Lucent.

Do you think the semi industry is going to keep paying little Cymer "ransom" for their product just because it is a bottleneck? It will be resolved by 2000. Until then, we will continue to see "stalling" by the industry until a big player starts producing a quality product at an affordable price. Remember when 1998 was going to be "the year"? What happened? The truth changes.

Enjoy your sleepless nights, Cymer investors.
