I guess the recent runup was a short squeeze

on Thursday, with followthru on Friday due to the news about Clinton's support for a 5 year moratorium on excessive internet commerce taxation.

I recall a post (I think from candlestick) that Datek was the best source of shares for those who wish to sell short.

It surprises me that in the year 1998, in the INFORMATION age, the public can only get information about the open interest and the float on a stock like AMZN once a month. People who want to sell short need this information daily--its crucial. I guess it is like the uptick requirement--all part of the bias against short selling.

Best Regards
