Hi Chris--thanks for posting the DELL PRICE ANALYSIS earlier today.

Prior to that post, I had done some work on prior DELL splits also and
came to the conclusion that I have way too much CPQ and way too little
of DELL. Tomorrw a.m., I will be cashing out of 33% of my CPQ and putting
it into DELL. I will be doing this through the use of leverage by
using DELL Leaps. If you know what the INTC warrants were all about, they
acted much like an in-the-money LEAP (long-term option). I am doing this
by using the Jan 2000 calls and the strike price of 140. It should move 1:1
with DELL stock as premium deterioroation doesn't really occur until
you get within 6-12 months. I will have these in my IRA so that I
don't have to hold for 18 months. At the same time I buy the LEAPS, I am going
to sell Mr calls against the stock I already own in my trading
account as I must agree that I am probably buying the LEAPS at or neat a
price peak but I don't want to miss out on any more upside.

Do you know the exact date the split becomes effective?
