Mohan,

I think the SSB analyst is just inviting first class suits for SSB if later the story was proved to be false and misleading. We already saw the proof what impact the story had put on the stock performance last Thursday (you put a record there). If the story was proved to be made up and no dependable source can be traced back, I would not be surprised that analyst together with SSB
will be in big trouble if the CPQ price continues going south. So, you can claim at least
part of your loss back. This suit will give those analysts a lesson , and make them to be more
responsible to what they said in public, especiall through the news wire.

Mo.....seems like every time I turn the tv on someone is asking me "what can we build yours to do," or the GTW ad featuring the employee and her daughter is on. I have yet to see a CPQ commercial. Am I simply missing them and, if not, do they have a tv ad campaign in the works??? Stephen

Mohan,
If Smith Barney ANALysts issue an upgrade or make favorable comments about CPQ within the next 2 or 3 weeks, we will definitely know they are manipulating the movement of the stock. At that point we (the SI group) should write an OPEN LETTER to Smith Barney and put it in the Investors Business Daily and the Wall Street Journal and challenge the motives of this financial house. I am more than willing to contribute my share of the expense if the rest of you are interested in this approach. We have to show these firms that they can no longer get away with manipulative tactics. Otherwise we will continue to be victimized over and over (and lose a lot of money in the process).
