There are some "factions" that claim long term damage due to ELF (Extremely Low Frequency Fields?), like power lines and appliances. There have been a number of studies showing these to be harmless, but people fear persist. The drive in industry to low voltage is driven by the reduction in feature sizes (and cost) of the electronic devices themselves, and of course the lower energy storage requirements in such lower voltage devices. This should be quite a strong driving engines for IPMX, if they just showed us they can capitalize on their technology. IPMX problem is not lack of markets, it is lack of products for these markets.
