When using quotation marks, the symbols "," or "." go inside, not outside. Thus, "He could be 'lying,' however" or "I can buy the 'cheaply."

By the way, what does "I can buy the 'cheaply'" mean?

HUH!!!!!!

Gary's saying quotation marks must include punctuation. In other words at the end of a sentence, put the quotation mark to the right of the period.

"Gary's really a frustrated school teacher," said his mother when interviewed recently.

When he heard about it, Gary phoned her and said, "Mom, stop saying that!"

Right, Gary??? :))
