AV IMHO the paragraph about measuring errors in masks is a focus. I will watch for a company to do that and profit with them:

Semiconductor Online article
"According to Sheldon, defects are the most serious problem with phase shift masks. No tools are available to inspect masks at the exposure wavelength, so it's very difficult to identify phase defects. The etch process prevents 180ø phase errors, but smaller errors, while less serious, are more difficult to detect. "

No mention of Cymer; must be a given to this field that there is no other to use.

Good Day

SVGI: what's the consensus on this stock. I have been watching for a while and am considering jumping in. I understand it is largely immune to Asian flu.

Off Topic--SVGI Furnaces Andrew, you write <<Thanks for the first confirmation of SVGL for INTC. This should translate to $$$ in SVGI stock, especially if they also go for the SVGI coat/develop units. The two new fabs, do you know if they are going to use the SVGI vertical furnaces perchance???>>

I recently visited the SVGI/Thermco facility in Orange, CA. Management indicated that Kokusai had a lock on Intel's 200mm furnace business. However, they thought Thermco had a good shot at the shift to 300mm business with their RVP300 machine (one of which is shipping to Motorola/Siemens--Dresden by winning the first competitive bid process for a 300mm furnace).
