Since we can't talk to them-and I'm not sure I could make judgements as well as a pro who talks to 100's of mgts-I 've found the best way is to watch them closely and constantly. SI seems to be a good place to keep tabs, since many other investors call the company and keep tabs in a myriad of ways. I also think that buying up your position gradually over time is often a good way to limit the risk of your assessment. Like so many other investment factors, judging management is both a tedious and subjective exercise. One other thing: When I decide a management team doesn't measure up, I get out fast.
