Don't Think Non-WaveTop business is a lock

It's been said Wavephore can depend on it's Satellite Network
infrustructure work, and 200,000 business subscribers in case
WaveTop gets into trouble. Let's not delude ourselve into
thinking WAVO has no competition in this market. Without
WaveTop, they have to stack up against these bigger guys:

Formed when online information provider Desktop Data bought rival Individual, NewsEdge supplies information to more than 950,000 users in North America, Europe, and Japan. Each day the company delivers more than 50,000 news stories from more than 120 publishers. Its products and services include NewsEdge Insight (value-added industry and company news delivered via intranets and the Internet), NewsEdge Live (real-time news delivered over local-area networks, wide-area networks, and intranets), NewsEdge NewsPage (customized news offered over the Internet), NewsEdge NewsTools (software, including NewsObjects, for integrating news into other applications), and ClariNews (general news delivered on the Internet).

A.J.

This is an interesting article, but the delivery system
discussed will not compete with Wavetop. I know that there
have been trials running where the existing telephone line
is used for the return path. As I understand, Wavetop will
work with the analog cable infrastructure as it exists today.
Like yourself, I'm very optimistic with the potential for
a WebTv/Wavetop system.

Good luck.
