Kevin - Re: "I'd be curious to know what you guys estimate AMD will have to pay IBM per .25u wafe"

Only a few reports have mentioned a 0.25 micron process for the IBM-AMD deal.

AMD's home page gives virtually no details.

My guess, if it is true, would be in the $2500 per wafer price range if it includes C4 processing.

Kevin,

Re: "I'd be curious to know what you guys estimate AMD will have to pay IBM per .25u wafer."

I would estimate a wafer cost for IBM of about $2000/8" wafer and maybe
a
price of $3000 - $4000/8" wafer ... remember, this process can be bought
nowhere else as a foundry service, IBM will charge accordingly.

Make It So,
