Raptor,
You Said:
<<<<<<<<Good doctor, I appreciate your analysis of the benefit to Oxford shareholders of AET's possible purchase of the NY Life operation. Gee,if you hadn't said so, I might have thought that this was a competitor beefing up in the area to more effectively compete against the hollow shell of what was once Oxford. This strategy is far more appealing to AET than a purchase of OXHP. Why not just keep to your knitting, and be prepared to aggressively pursue disgruntled Oxford members as open enrollment 1999 approaches?>>>>>>>

You seem to find the negative in everything that supports your short position. You are also insulting to boot. I tell you that the AEtna deal increases their presence in Washington Houston and Dallas. The NY market is the bastion of guess who? You also seem to miss that the Aetna deal is of a company that just lost $30 MILLION and is hardly the quality company that is Oxford. As to corporate culture you have to be kidding Oxford is an enscription machine and in case you did not know this, a health insurance company sells insurance and Oxford has done that better then anyone even with all its recent problems. That is their franchise. Payson will not want to change that only manage the business better the culture is fine. You are way off the beaten trail on this and your info on what makes this industry run is deluded at best.
Hey Raptor short this company I am sure the anemic short position that presently exists on Oxford really indicates your great decision on shorting this company. Great timing were you long at 89. Now short at 17.
