The Zip Plus retails for $199, just like the SparQ. This is the Zip drive he author was obviously comparing SparQ to. So, he was correct in his comparison of the two.

SparQ discs are about 1/3 the price of Jaz discs.

Com'n SyQuest....make a SCSI version!

SparQ with 1000megs = $199.00
Zip with 1000megs = $218.00 (and this is the cheap zip)

Author looks right on track to me. I think he might have even been a little easy on IOM.
