Paul,

Looking at the valuation of some of these companies makes me think Netscape is undervalued at $19. Of course, thinking that these other companies are way overvalued is perhaps not the proper justification for my opinion of Netscape, but I was wondering if you felt similarly.

Regards,
Dave

One up for Netscape

As reported by the Boston Globe today:

"Vames Barksdale, chief executive of Netscape Communications Corp.,
complained Microsoft is using its near-monopoly on desktop computer
operating systems to force people to use Microsoft's Internet browser
instead of Netscape's. Barksdale pointed to yesterday's announcement
from Microsoft that it would alter its contracts with 40 Internet
ervice providers. The old contracts banned the providers from
offering customers browsing software not made by Microsoft. The
providers will now be free to do so."
